Hannah Cahill’s Approach to Therapy
Hannah’s approach to therapy is strengths-based and evidence-informed, centering each client’s values, goals, and unique experiences while integrating Adlerian, person-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and positive psychological interventions. She values meeting clients where they are, honoring their role as the experts of their own lives, while creating a nonjudgmental therapeutic space where they feel seen, valued, and empowered. Hannah believes that developing meaningful insight begins through conversation, using the therapeutic relationship as a space to reflect, process, and develop a deeper understanding of thoughts, emotions, and experiences. She thoughtfully integrates practical tools into this process, helping clients translate insight into action while building skills for emotional regulation, resilience, and everyday wellbeing.
With curiosity, authenticity, and a touch of humor, Hannah creates a therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable showing up as themselves. She believes growth often occurs through a balance of compassion and gentle challenge, supporting clients in exploring new perspectives, shifting unhelpful patterns, and cultivating greater self-confidence as they move toward their goals.
Hannah holds a limited permit in mental health counseling and is a graduate of Pace University’s CACREP-accredited Mental Health Counseling M.S. Program. Prior to completing her counseling education, Hannah also earned a B.A. in political science from Pace University.
