Grief Support & Healing Group

The journey through grief can stir a wide range of emotions—often painful, confusing, and unpredictable. Losing someone you love is never easy, and it can also feel deeply isolating. Sometimes, the pain of loss is difficult to put into words, but sharing that experience with others who truly understand can bring comfort and connection. At some point in our lives, we are all touched by grief. Learning to live with the loss of a loved one doesn’t have to be something you face alone. Whether you’re mourning a partner, family member, friend, or anyone who held a special place in your life, this virtual grief support group offers a space for healing in community. Together, members find emotional support, learn coping strategies, and explore ways to care for themselves as they navigate their unique paths toward healing. The group meets weekly and provides a compassionate environment where each person’s grief is honored and understood.

Trauma Support & Resilience Support

Our virtual Trauma Recovery Support Group offers a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for individuals navigating the ongoing impact of trauma. Because trauma affects each person differently, healing is not linear—and recovery often benefits from connection, support, and compassionate understanding. This group is designed for those who may be seeking continued support following more intensive trauma work or who would benefit from an ongoing therapeutic community focused on connection, encouragement, healing, resilience, and personal growth.

Trauma Processing & Recovery Group

While stress is a natural part of life, it can become overwhelming when tied to the extraordinary impact of a traumatic experience. Interpersonal traumas—such as sexual assault, rape, domestic or intimate partner violence, or physical, sexual, or emotional abuse in childhood—can leave lasting effects that disrupt your sense of safety, trust, and connection. Survivors often carry feelings of fear, shame, or guilt, and may struggle with isolation or the belief that others can’t truly understand. This virtual support group offers a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to help reduce those feelings of isolation and foster healing. Together, members focus on reclaiming safety, rebuilding self-trust, and moving from surviving to thriving.

Therapeutic Arts Group for Children

Creative expression gives children a safe and meaningful way to explore their inner world. Through art-making, they can express emotions that may be difficult to verbalize and process feelings such as worry, fear, frustration, or confusion in a supportive environment.

In this virtual therapeutic arts group, children use a variety of creative tools—such as drawing, painting, collage, and hands-on projects—to build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and develop healthier ways of understanding and communicating their feelings. The art-making process nurtures imagination, problem-solving, and self-confidence, while also helping children improve focus, patience, and frustration tolerance. With the guidance of a therapist, this group fosters resilience, emotional regulation, and a growing sense of confidence that extends well beyond the sessions.

DETAILS:

Group Facilitator: Lynn Cukaj, LMHC

Ages: Children, ages 6-10

Day/Time: Every Tues/Wed, 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM EST

Format: Virtual (video sessions)

(Clients must be in New York or Connecticut during sessions)
