Mental Health Counseling Intern

Anna Beskin is a compassionate, client-centered therapist whose approach integrates empathetic listening, narrative exploration, and mindfulness-based practices to help clients slow down, tune inward, and understand the deeper patterns shaping their emotional lives. With a background in education, wellness programming, and student support, Anna brings attuned communication, thoughtful insight, and a steady, grounded presence to her work with diverse clients.
Before pursuing counseling, Anna spent nearly two decades in higher education teaching literature and writing while mentoring students through academic stress, identity exploration, and major life transitions. Whether guiding someone through a setback or facilitating resilience workshops, she consistently witnessed the power of individualized support.
Anna views therapy as a mindful alternative to a fast-paced, curated culture that often leaves people feeling unseen. She sees counseling as a space to pause, reflect, and make meaning—to explore not just what is happening, but how one’s internal world responds and seeks connection. Drawn to clients across the lifespan, she is inspired by helping individuals build insight, resilience, and self-acceptance.
Anna holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from Fordham University, a master’s degree from the University of South Florida, and a bachelor’s degree from Pace University. She is currently a mental health counseling intern at Northeast Psychological Wellness while completing her master’s degree at Pace University’s CACREP-accredited Mental Health Counseling Program. Across her career, Anna has gravitated toward roles centered on reflection, curiosity, and personal growth, making the transition to mental health counseling a natural evolution. She is committed to providing warm, evidence-informed, and culturally responsive care as she advances in her clinical training.
