William is a compassionate mental health professional dedicated to the well-being and care of all his clients. First and foremost, he prioritizes listening and getting to know his clients as individuals. He recognizes that each person is unique and that the proper mental health care looks different from person to person. He draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered approaches. William ensures to make all of his clients feel valued and recognized in the therapeutic space. He appreciates the complexities of modern-day social and cultural issues and the lasting impact of those factors on mental health. William has experience working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, including a variety of cultures. He enjoys working with many different populations and creating individualized treatments for all of his clients.
William values the connection between the client and the therapist as the most important part of the therapeutic process. He ensures that his clients will feel comfortable in moving through their therapeutic process in a way that makes them feel safe and is unique to them. He uses collaborative processes and interventions to empower his clients’ autonomy. Each individual carries different experiences and perspectives throughout their life, and William believes that embracing that individuality can lead to meaningful change and the discovery of powerful insight.
William holds a limited permit in mental health counseling and graduated from NYU Steinhardt’s School of Culture, Education, and Human Development with his Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness. Prior to his graduate education, William received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgetown University.
