Psychologist (Limited Permit)

When life feels heavy, uncertain, or off track, it’s easy to lose sight of what you need or where to go next. Dr. DeAngelis understands that many people seek therapy when they feel stuck in patterns of stress, emotional overwhelm, overthinking, or self-doubt and need compassionate guidance to break free. She is dedicated not only to helping her clients navigate life’s challenges but also to reconnecting them with their innate wholeness and cultivating an authentically meaningful life.
Dr. DeAngelis’ primary approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based method that empowers individuals to identify and move beyond unhelpful patterns, navigate difficult emotions more skillfully, and take meaningful steps toward personal growth. To provide tailored care, she also integrates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting treatment to meet the unique needs of each client.
She offers virtual therapy to adults in New York and Connecticut, supporting those experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Whether seeking therapy for stress management or deeper personal growth, clients find a safe, supportive space to heal and move forward.
Dr. DeAngelis earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University and has clinical experience across outpatient, inpatient, residential, VA, and academic medical settings. She is skilled at working with clients from diverse backgrounds, combining professional expertise with genuine respect for everyone’s lived experience. She is committed to providing a safe, supportive space where people can explore, heal, and move toward the life they want to live.
